Question: “Unhealthy breakfast and tiredness”

Hi mads, thanks for giving this advice and taking questions.. I have 2 questions:

First, I feel like my breakfast is really unhealthy and I have a hard time getting up in the morning, and from what I read the change you made in your diet made it so that you could get up more easily in the morning and you don’t sick as easily.. but every morning I eat a bun with chocolate and a glass of milk… do you have any tips for a healthy breakfast that is quick to make, because I don’t have a lot of time in the morning.

The second thing is that I get blemishes very often and I have a little acne, but the worst thing is that during the day my skin becomes really red and it’s very irritating. And I need advice because I don’t want to smother my skin with foundation.. I’ve bought Ole Henriksen’s Grease Relief tonic and I was thinking trying to get some money to buy the cleanser and the vitamin plus crème, but is there something else that can help with my redness…

Hope you can answer my question I look forward to your answer :-)

Br,
Sidsel

Answer to: “Unhealthy breakfast and tiredness”

Dear Sidsel,

Thank you very much for your question about diet and skincare. I am happy to help you.

Very few people are not feeling tired in the morning, when the alarm clock rings. Apart from getting enough sleep (7 to 9 hours), the best thing is to bite the bullet and get up. I can recommend you to drink a glass of water and to do some stretching exercises and I would recommend you to change your breakfast to for example oatmeal with fruits of the season and some nuts on top. This will fill your body with fuel, vitamins, minerals and healthy fat to start the day.

As an alternative, you can also make a quick smoothie, where you can add carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and healthy fat. All that will give you a sense of fullness well into the day and so your body will have a lot of fuel.

Regarding blemishes, I would recommend you not to use products that are too harsh. If you are using products that make your skin red, you should stop and find other products. Unfortunately, a lot of products for acne contain irritating ingredients, which will then provoke even more acne (it is a vicious circle). Skin with acne must be treated, but with mild products.

I would recommend you to read my cure for acne, which is my simple, but very effective step-by-step program for curing acne and blemishes, where you will receive:

  • Documented knowledge in a language that is easy to understand
  • An easy step-by-step guide
  • Video guides where I will tell and show you how to do the different steps
  • A list of products so you can see, which products to use for treating your skin

See my cure for acne here.

I hope my answers can help to have healthy morning routine and great skin!
