Question: “Bags under the eyes”

Hi again mads :-)

Yeah… the thing is that I always have bags under my eyes. And since I’m 13 now, is that really normal?

You can’t say that it’s because I don’t sleep enough because I sleep ALL through the night :-) But I really don’t know what I can do about this..

Br,
Ellen

Answer to: “Bags under the eyes”

Hi Ellen

Thank you for your question, which I am sure I will answer. At the same time, I am happy to see that you have listed the “obvious” answer yourself and put focus on sleep. Naturally, sleep is essential for us to have glowing and healthy looking skin – you should try to go to sleep at the same time every night. That means going to and getting out of bed at the same time every day, because that daily rhythm will appear on your skin. And you should sleep 8 hours straight.

Also, you should take a look at your pillow. Maybe you could try and elevate your head on a higher pillow, which might have a positive effect on your bags under the eyes. Finally, you should take a look at your diet – make sure to have a varied diet and eat enough different vitamins and minerals. Especially zinc and iron deficiency can often be seen around the eyes in the form of dark circles or bags – so focus on eating foods with zinc and iron (maybe take a supplement for a time). But I would always recommend a varied diet where fish and nuts are rich in iron and zinc.
