Question: “Pregnancy, breastfeeding and hormone disrupting substances in skin care”

Hi Mads

I have read a lot about skin problems and skin care on your website and a friend of mine recommended your product Perfect Skin Power Treat. Now I would just like to hear more about what skin care products you would recommend… :-)

I am 31 with fairly normal skin – neither dry nor oily. However, I have a tendency to get outbreaks of pimples on my forehead and cheeks as well as blackheads on my nose. When I was pregnant, I had some discolorations around my eyes, and I would be so happy, if it would disappear. I am still breastfeeding and it is therefore very important for me that my skin care is without harmful chemistry or substances suspected of causing hormonal disorder.

What routine and skin care would you recommend me? My skin needs some much needed care after my pregnancy…

Many greetings
Christina

Answer to: “Pregnancy, breastfeeding and hormone disrupting substances in skin care”

Hi Christina

First of all, congratulations on the new family member… :-D Pregnancy is so beautiful and magical, but pregnancy is also really hard for the body and skin.

And of cause I would like to help you. Let me start by saying that the Danish Skin Care series contains nothing harmful – neither for you nor your baby! :) So you can easily use the series – the series is also great during pregnancy… A pregnancy can be extremely hard for the skin and body. So your body will only benefit from a lot of nice, soothing skin care.

The series is very gentle for the skin and is also effective at combating skin problems.

And yes, Perfect Skin Power Treat is clearly a product you should get started with after your pregnancy – it’s an AWESOME product against pigment damage, pimples and blackheads.

But I would strongly recommend that you use the whole series! So you also get anti-aging, and lots of good vitamins, minerals and assets – to help keep your skin perfect day and night! :-)

And based on your description of your skin, I would think you should use the series normal to oily.

Thus your routine will look like this:

Morning:
Perfect Skin Face Wash: Wash the face with water, foam the product into the hands and wash the face. Rinse with plenty of water and dry the face.

Perfect Skin Day Protector: Day cream with sunscreen that is extremely important to making the skin calm, so it can combat problems, thus helping itself to protect itself from the sun’s harmful rays – the sun’s rays account for 70% of our skin problems, so the sun factor is extremely important! Together, the product is filled with good ingredients and vitamins for the skin.

Evening:
Perfect Skin Face Wash: Wash the face with water, foam the product into the hands and wash the face. Rinse with plenty of water and dry the face dry.

Perfect Skin Power Treat: A daily exfoliation, which is distributed in the face with a cotton pad after using Perfect Skin Face Wash. Leave the product on the face overnight. A daily exfoliation is highly effective to keep skin healthy and vital – and the product will help the skin to get rid of dead skin cells and keep the pores clean. At the same time, the product is filled with deep-cleasing ingredients and soothing ingredients that keep your skin clean and relaxed.

Perfect Skin Moisturizer: The night cream, like the day cream, is filled with good ingredients (just without sunscreen) which will help protect and rebuild the skin.

Regarding the creams, it’s important to choose a cream for your own skin type – If you have a tendency to have oily skin, you should choose: normal to oily skin. If you tend to have dry skin, choose: Normal to dry skin.

A complete skin care kit from Danish Skin Care has a life span of approx. 3 months, so the products last a long time – and the best thing is that they are incredibly easy to use. You don’t need eye creams, masks, spot-treatments, skin-tonic etc – you get all the care you need in the series. Just use the face cream, as your eye cream and masks, spot-treatments and skin-tonic are “built” into the series.
