Mads Timmermann
– Founder, Skincare Expert & Chief Research Officer
Certified cosmetologist • 18 years of experience • 100,000+ customers • 3,000+ hours of research & product development
I’ve worked professionally with skin since 2008, when I started writing about skincare online. That means I’ve been communicating skin knowledge for 18 years – long before I founded Danish Skin Care.
In 2010, I completed my education as a cosmetologist and passed a physician-examined certification as a Skincare Therapist / Skin Care Therapist with a specialization in breakouts, acne and problem-prone skin.
That’s also where I wrote my final thesis on acne – because I had personally struggled with breakouts for more than 10 years.
In 2011, I founded Danish Skin Care with one goal:
To create honest, effective, and research-based skincare that helps people with problem skin – without bullshit, fragrance, or miracle promises.
