Who does not want gorgeous skin, knowing that your skin-care products neither dry out your skin nor make it greasy?
This is where your skin type is important, because if you know what type of skin you have, it will be easier to find the right skin-care products for your skin.
This guide will teach you how to determine your skin type. And you can test it again, if you believe your skin type has changed.
Your skin type can change
Your skin is the largest organ on/in your body, and it can change according to both internal and external factors.
Factors like hormonal changes (e.g. stress or pregnancy), medicine, smoking and passive smoke, diet, unprotected exposure to sunlight, changes in climate, and skin-care products can change your skin.
The good thing about this is that if your skin is dry and irritable, it can be changed into normal and beautiful skin.
The form on the left will help you determine your skin type. Do not worry if you discover that you have more than one skin type. Because the middle part of your face (called the T zone) has more natural oil glands, it is more inclined to have blemishes and clogged pores.
Begin by washing your face in lukewarm water using a mild cleansing product (see Clean Skin Face Wash), and then let it rest for two hours without applying any other skin-care products.
The next step is to observe your skin in a mirror and feel how your skin is acting according to the form.
ATTENTION: Sit in front of a window, so that your face is exposed to natural light.
Regardless of whether your skin is oily or dry, has blemishes or wrinkles, your skin-care products should have anti-oxidants and cell reparative ingredients that will keep your skin healthy and beautiful for a long time.
Make sure that your skin-care products have the right consistency for your skin, which means that if you have oily skin in some areas and very dry skin in other areas, you will have to use two different products.
