Question: “Benzoyl peroxide cream with 5% benzoyl peroxide or benzoyl peroxide cream with 10% benzoyl peroxide”

Hey Mads :)

You write that you should use Benzoyl Peroxide cream with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide and lubricate it over pimples, but are there different kinds of pimples?

I primarily have the big, sore pimples that gradually become white in the middle, but they are very spread apart, and I have read online that you should use Benzoyl Peroxide cream with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide on the individual pimples that are not in small “crowds”, is this true? And should I just try Benzoyl Peroxide cream with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide first?

I also have a lot of red and dark spots at the temples and on the cheeks. Will they eventually disappear if you use the right peeling, or will they always be there?

PS: I love your website! : D It really helped me understand acne.

Answer to: “Benzoyl peroxide cream with 5% benzoyl peroxide or benzoyl peroxide cream with 10% benzoyl peroxide”

Hi

Thank you so much for your kind words about my website. I’m glad that I have inspired you!

That you use Benzoyl Peroxide cream is really nice. However, I would strongly recommend you to stay at 5%, as research has shown that 5% kill acne bacteria as much as 10%, it’s just a lot less annoying and irritation for your skin.

Your outbreaks on your cheeks and temples will hopefully be improved if you use the correct skincare, which you should if you follow the steps in the Danish Acne Cure.

Good luck! :-D
