It’s a nice site you have, with good advice and inspiration.
I’m writing to you, because after I have a blemish on my face, it becomes a dark spot afterwards. It’s not my entire cheek that is covered with dark spots, but approximately ¼ and the spots are very close together, so it’s a fairly small area.
I suffer from acne, but it has pretty much disappeared since I started using Clindoxyl that was prescribed by my doctor, because I had tried everything else along with drinking lots of water, green tea and eating healthy. Now, I’m just really tired of the dark spots.
I see a very nice cosmetologist once a month and I use products from Dermalogica every morning and evening. My skin is even, when I touch it with a finger. The cosmetologist says that it’s some kind of hyper pigmentation that should disappear eventually. I think it’s less visible now, but do you have any suggestions as to what I could do? Because I’ve seen in your pictures of yourself with acne that you also had red spots, and it looks like your own have disappeared completely?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my web site. I am happy that you have taken control of your acne with Clindoxyl.
The red spots that I have had on my face are called papules, which is a precursor for a big, infected blemish. These red spots disappeared eventually and became proper blemishes.
Brown spots on your skin usually appear because of sun damage or a hormonal imbalance. The colour cells (melanocytes) that gives colour/pigmentation to your skin to protect it from the damaging UV rays from the sun, can over-produce colour/pigmentation/melanin, which will result in a dark spot called over-pigmentation/hyper pigmentation. It sounds like those are the type of spots that you experience on your skin.
By using peeling products on your skin, you will boost the rejection of dead skin cells and so you will have a more even surface. And lastly, remember to protect your skin every day with a sunscreen so your colour cells will not over-produce colour/pigmentation.
I hope you can use my answer.
